We encourage you to review each platform's policy for the information they collect directly. A Note on the Nature of This Work
The Family Mycology™ framework and all programs offered here are educational, coaching, and personal development in nature. Participation does not constitute or replace licensed mental health treatment, medical care, or psychotherapy. Any information you share in applications, intake forms, or sessions is held with care and confidentiality, and will not be disclosed without your consent except as required by law.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@familymycology.com. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this site following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
The myEcology app
The sections below cover the myEcology app, a family reflection app offered by Innate Intelligence LLC dba Family Mycology. They add to everything above. Where the two differ for the app, these sections apply.
Who the app is for
myEcology is made for adults. Account holders must be at least 18, or the age of majority where they live. Parents and caregivers use it to reflect on their own family. Children do not use the app, do not sign in, and do not have accounts. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to create an account.
What the app collects
- Account information: your email address, which is how you sign in. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email, so we do not store a password. We also keep the session records needed to keep you signed in, your tier (Free, Family, or Family Deep), and, if you use a cohort code, a record of that code.
- Family information you enter: the names, initials, or nicknames of the people in your family, including your children; dates of birth, and time and place of birth if you choose to add them; relationship notes and reflections you write; and the readings the app gives you, saved in your Field Journal.
- Flags: if you flag a reading, we keep the flagged reading, with identifying details automatically removed, and the reason you chose. See Flagging a reading below.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Technical information: standard data such as IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps, used for security and reliability. The app uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your children's information
In myEcology, parents enter information about their children. Your children are the people the reflections are about, and you are the account holder and the person who gives consent. By entering a child's information, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or hold equivalent authority, and you consent on the child's behalf to the use described here.
We treat this information as sensitive. You never need to enter a child's full legal name: initials or a nickname work. Birth time and birth place are optional. Please enter only what you need for the reflection you are looking for. You can access, export, or delete a child's information at any time by writing to support@familymycology.com.
How the app uses your information
- To run the app: create and secure your account, give you readings, and save them so you can return to them.
- To keep readings attuned: what you enter is linked to the person or relationship it is about, so the app knows your family better over time.
- To draw the Human Design part of your family map: Human Design Hub (api.humandesignhub.app) calculates those charts. For each person it receives their birth date, and their birth time, birth city, and time zone when you add them. It never receives anyone's name.
- To manage your tier and cohort access, process payments through Stripe, and send account email such as sign-in codes and receipts.
- To keep the app safe and working, including security, backups, and preventing misuse.
Readings are generated by Anthropic's Claude through its commercial API, which we call directly. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, your content is not used to train its models, and Anthropic deletes it within 30 days except where needed for safety review or as required by law. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your reflections or your family's information to train AI models.
Flagging a reading
If a reading doesn't feel right, you can flag it. A flag carries only two things: the reading the app gave you, with identifying details automatically removed, and one of three reasons you choose: Didn't sound like myEcology, Didn't fit my family, or Told me what to do. There is no space to type, and a flag never includes what you wrote.
Flags are reviewed by a small review team at Family Mycology. Reviewers see only the reading, with identifying details automatically removed, and the reason you chose. They never see what you wrote: not your reflections, your notes, or anything else you entered. The automatic removal of identifying details is a best effort, not a guarantee, so a flagged reading may still contain some details about your family.
We use flags only to improve how myEcology reads families. Flags are not read in real time, and no one replies to them. You can withdraw a flag you sent by writing to support@familymycology.com; we will delete any flags we can connect to your account (see How long we keep app data below). Flags are deleted after 90 days in any case.
A note on reporting. A member of our review team may be a licensed professional with legal reporting obligations. If a flagged reading contains information about harm to a child or another person, that reviewer may be required by law to report it, even though myEcology is not a reporting channel.
myEcology is not a crisis service
myEcology does not watch for emergencies, and a flag is not a way to reach anyone for help. If you, your child, or anyone else is in danger or crisis, please reach out now:
- 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Call or text 988.
- 1-800-422-4453, the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline.
- 1-800-799-7233, the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
- 911 if anyone is in immediate danger.
Where your app information is kept
When you sign in, your household details, birth information, readings, and Field Journal are stored on our servers so you can use them across devices. A working copy is also kept in your browser. myEcology runs on Replit and its database, hosted in North America. Sign-in is handled by Supabase in the United States.
Who helps us run the app
We share information only with the companies that help us run the app and this website, under agreements that limit them to working on our behalf. The companies that handle your information, including our AI provider, are listed with what each one does on our Subprocessors page. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a business transfer.
Security
- Sign-in is passwordless, using a one-time code sent to your email, and all traffic uses HTTPS.
- Sign-in attempts are rate-limited to protect the one-time code.
- Session cookies are protected with secure, http-only, and same-site settings, and requests that change data are protected against cross-site request forgery.
- Sessions expire, and signing out ends your active sessions.
- Access to app data is limited to a small number of administrator accounts.
No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will tell affected account holders, and regulators where required, as the law requires. Because sign-in depends on your email inbox, please keep that inbox secure. If you lose access to it for good, we may not be able to restore your account.
Your choices in the app
You can ask to see, export, correct, or delete your information and your family's information at any time by writing to support@familymycology.com. This includes deleting single entries or deleting your whole account and household. Flags are handled a little differently; see How long we keep app data below. Account deletion removes your journal entries and your household's member and relationship information. Stripe may keep limited billing records for tax and accounting.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, or move your data, to limit its use, and to appeal our decision. Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, and California residents under the CCPA and CPRA. We respond to verified requests within 45 days. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or writing to support@familymycology.com, and Colorado residents may also contact the Colorado Attorney General. For your children, you use these rights on their behalf as their parent or guardian.
How long we keep app data
We keep your family's information while your account is active, plus limited periods needed for legal, tax, security, and backup reasons. Entries you delete are hidden right away and then permanently removed. When an account is deleted, its data is removed from the live system, and copies in backups are removed as those backups expire. Flags are deleted after 90 days. Because a flag is stored with identifying details removed and without anything you wrote, we may not be able to tell which flags came from you. If you would like flags you sent removed, write to support@familymycology.com and we will delete any we can connect to your account. Billing records are kept as required for tax and accounting.
